Hiring Dillon
Staff Engineer, Staff Cloud Architect, or an engineering-leadership role — platform, cloud, and AI infrastructure. The work I want sits where infrastructure meets AI: resilient platforms at real scale, agents and LLMs in production. Team and context matter more than the logo.
Where I add value
Cloud & Infrastructure
- — Multi-cloud architecture: AWS, Azure, GCP
- — DR and HA design for 50TB+/day systems
- — Enterprise cloud migrations, end to end
DevOps & Automation
- — CI/CD architecture for hundreds of services
- — IaC and GitOps as the default, org-wide
- — Standardized developer environments
Kubernetes & Containers
- — Production clusters at enterprise scale
- — Service mesh rollout and orchestration
- — Zero-downtime microservices migrations
AI/ML Operations
- — LLM inference at <100ms, in production
- — MCP server deployment and agent authorization (OAuth 2.1 DCR, scoped capabilities)
- — AI agents and model serving in production
Observability & Reliability
- — Observability platforms ingesting 5TB+ logs/day
- — SRE practice: SLOs, alerting, incident response
- — AI-powered anomaly detection and auto-remediation
- — Austin, TX — remote-first, on-site available
- — Open to full-time roles now
- — Typically responds within 24 hours

Paste a posting. You get the requirements that matter most, each checked against what this site publishes — with the gaps named, not talked around.
Tell me who you are: seven days of the assistant on a higher daily limit. I get a note that you were here — that's the trade.
Name, email and company. Kept 90 days, emailed to me, never sold or listed — the colophon has the rest.
Hiring questions
Are you open to engineering leadership, or IC only?
Both. I'm targeting staff-level IC and engineering-leadership roles; the through-line is platform, cloud, and AI infrastructure at scale rather than a specific title.
Remote or on-site?
Remote-first, based in Austin, Texas, and open to hybrid or occasional on-site for the right team. I typically respond within 24 hours.
What scale have you operated at?
Systems handling roughly 50TB/day at 99.99% uptime, 5TB+/day of self-hosted observability, and production AI and agent infrastructure — with the cost and reliability discipline to match. The case studies on /work carry the numbers and the tradeoffs.
How do we start?
